El Origen Powerade 2017

Place: Villa Traful – Villa La Angostura. Province of Neuquén. Patagonia. Argentina
Date: March 2, 3 and 4, 2017
Race Stages: 3 days and 2 nights (Camp is optional)
Distances per stage:
Class: 100 Km. Between 30 and 40 km daily
Class: 50 Km. Between 15 and 20 km daily

A. General Considerations

1. The Organizing Team shall have a Managing Team that will oversee the compliance of these Regulations by the competitors, and will decide on any issues related to the race. Any doubts the participant may have regarding course technical issues, the competition, the rankings, etc. shall be submitted to the Managing Team.
2. The Organizing Team will be able to cancel the event for public security issues, public events, vandalism and/or force majeure reasons.
3. The Organizing Team may be forced to redesign the race course for security reasons due to abnormal weather conditions and other unforeseen events. Should this be the case, the new race course will be duly informed. If last minute changes are made, the race course shall be informed in the Technical Talk that will take place before the race.
4. I authorize TMX S.R.L. and/or its sponsors and/or Servicios y Productos para Bebidas Refrescantes SRL (Coca-Cola de Argentina) and its associated companies, subsidiaries and controlling entities to use, reproduce, distribute and/or publish photographs, movies, videos, recordings and/or any other means of recording myself for promotional and/or advertising purposes, taken because of and in the context of the Race, without any pecuniary compensation whatsoever up.
5. Runners who have decided to register in the Sixth Edition of El Origen Powerade and cannot make it to the Race for any reason whatsoever can get a refund according to the following schedule:
Until November 30, 2016, the reimbursement of the total amount (100%) paid in cash or by transfer depending on the payment method.
Until December 31, 2016, the recognition of the 50% of the amount paid for El Origen Powerade 2018 edition, not transferable to other people.
Until March 1, 2017, the recognition of the 25% of the amount paid for El Origen Powerade 2018 edition, not transferable to other people.
The participants who need to cancel their registration should send an email to elorigen@tmxteam.com.
6. Your participation in this race implies that you are responsible for the data provided, your full acceptance of the Regulations, and the payment of the registration fees.
7. Athletes who are suspended, who had been proven to have used substances, or who are in the process of serving any kind of disqualifying penalty imposed by Confederations or Federations in full effect at the time of the race cannot take part in the event.
8. The minimum age to take part in the event is 17 years old as of March 2, 2017 for the 100K distance, and 15 years old for the 50K distance (in these cases, the registration form must be signed by the father, mother, or legal guardian).
9. The Organizing Team reserves its right of admission.
Any person who alters his/her participant’s number will be expelled from the race.
10. When picking up the kit, unfailingly every runner has to submit a current Medical Fitness Certificate signed by a clinical doctor or cardiologist authorizing the runner to take part in this type of races; without said Certificate, the runner shall not be able to take part in the competition.

B. General Rules

1. All athletes must know the Regulations.
2. The participant is responsible for being well prepared for the race. This means enjoying good health and having an acceptable level of training. Registering in a race neither ensures nor covers this responsibility.
3. The runners are responsible for keeping themselves well-hydrated.
4. The competitors are obliged to stay in the trail designated by the Organizing Team, if they do not do so, they can be disqualified from the competition. Using shortcuts is not allowed. The athletes are responsible for knowing the designated course.
5. Behavior: Inadequate behavior or the use of abusive language, in any of its forms, shall be considered sport misconduct and penalized, including up to disqualifying the athlete.
6. Cleaning: Runners are also responsible for maintaining a clean environment. Runners who litter anywhere along the race course will be penalized. This action can be seen by a member of the Organizing Team or by other runners with sufficient evidence who shall inform about this violation.
7. Complaints: Any complaint whatsoever should be carried out within one hour following the closing time of the stage. It has to be in writing and signed. Saying that a person has taken a shortcut is not enough, as many details as possible are needed. All complaints shall be investigated. It is not always possible to see the violations due to the nature of the race itself.
8. Penalties: Penalties shall be determined according to the severity level of the violation. Minimum penalty is 2 minutes. Maximum penalty is disqualification in the event results and the loss of the awarded money, if any.
9. The participants running in teams of 2 must be together along the entire course, from the start to the finish line, without being apart further than 15 meters along the course. Otherwise, they will be disqualified.
10. Sovereign Decisions: The Organizing Team shall not be responsible for any loss of materials or damages the athletes may incur while taking part in any of the race stages. Doubts or omissions herein shall be settled by the Organizing Commission in a sovereign way, with no resources available to such decisions.

C. Registrations

1. Registrations shall be made exclusively online at www.tmxteam.com.
2. The costs and terms of the registration are described in point D herein.
3. To be able to pick up their kit, competitors must compulsorily submit their original documents, payment receipt and medical certificate.
4. The registration steps, registration costs, its due dates and payment method are detailed in www.tmxteam.com.
5. If we find that a registered person gave his/her place to another person to replace him/her in the event, we will proceed to disqualify the person who ran, and to carry out the exclusion of both (assignor and assignee) of the upcoming events organized by TMX.

D. Prices and Promotions

D.1) 100K (price per person)
(If you run as a team, the price doubles.)
From June 1 to August 1: $7,900 ($1,580 for the right to participate and $6,320 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From August 2 to October 2: $8,900 ($1,780 for the right to participate and $7,120 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From October 3 to December 3: $9,900 ($1,980 for the right to participate and $7,920 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From December 4 to March 1, 2017: $10,900 ($2,180 for the right to participate and $8,720 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
Participants who belong to a RUNNING TEAM will have a 10% DISCOUNT. To use this discount benefit, the trainer must send an email to elorigen@tmxteam.com requesting the discount.
Prices will be:
From June 1 to August 1: $7,110 ($1,422 for the right to participate and $5,688 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From August 2 to October 2: $8,010 ($1,602 for the right to participate and $6,408 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From October 3 to December 3: $8,910 ($1,782 for the right to participate and $7,128 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
From December 4 to March 1, 2017: $9,810 ($1,962 for the right to participate and $7,848 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
Note: Once the special price period expires, the discount of the “Bring a friend” promotion applies to these prices according to the current period at the time of registration.

D.2) 50K (price per person)

From December 4 to March 1, 2017: $8,830 ($1,766 for the right to participate and $7,064 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
Refunds: Runners who have decided to register in the Sixth Edition of El Origen Powerade and cannot make it to the Race for any reason whatsoever can get a refund according to the following schedule:

D.3) PROMOTIONS:

Special price: $6,500 ($1,300 for the right to participate and $5,200 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
The payment method is in two installments of $3,250.
The first installment must be paid by May 14, 2016.
The second installment must be paid by June 14, 2016.
If the payment terms are not complied with, the special price will be cancelled and the price schedule in effect at that time shall apply.
50K (price per person)
Special price: $5850.- ($1,170 for the right to participate and $4,680 for miscellaneous race services, meals, kit items, transfers, camping services and other services.)
The payment method is in two installments of $2,925.
The first installment must be paid by May 14, 2016.
The second installment must be paid by June 14, 2016.
If the payment terms are not complied with, the special price will be cancelled and the price schedule in effect at that time shall apply.
PROMOTION 2: BRING A FRIEND
“For each new runner you bring to El Origen Powerade, you will have a 10% discount on your registration fee”.
What is this about?
If you have already run any of the El Origen Powerade editions and you bring another runner who has never run the race, you will get a 10% discount in your registration fee. If you bring two runners, you will get a 20% discount; each runner can bring up to 10 runners getting a maximum 100% discount!
Your friend can get a 10% discount as maximum discount.
The discount freezes when you register. This means that if when you register you bring 3 people, you will get a 30% discount. Once the registration is frozen, the discount cannot be increased.
RUNNING TEAMS:
In this promotion, in the special price period, the discount of belonging to a running team does not applied.
Throughout the regular price period, the discount/s shall apply on the running team price.

Registration Requisites: It is MANDATORY to submit a current Medical Fitness Certificate signed by a medical doctor. It is a mandatory requisite to be able to pick up the race KITS.

E. TECHNICAL T-SHIRT AND ASSIGNED NUMBER

1. Wearing the runner’s technical t-shirt and assigned number is mandatory; said number must be completely visible and attached with fasteners on the front of the backpack. The t-shirt must be worn over any other garment.

F. PENALTIES

1. No participant can be accompanied by automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles or any other type of vehicle. If this occurs, the participant will be disqualified.
2. The only external help that can be received is that from the Assistance and Control Stations defined by the Organizing Team as Stations with Authorized External Help. Information about these Stations will be provided by the Organizing Team through the race website.
3. It is allowed to help another runner to make his/her pace easier along the race if needed.
4. All participants must follow the course defined by the Organizing Team. If a participant does not follow the defined course, he/she shall be disqualified.
5. Any participant who shows sport misconduct and/or violation of these Regulations shall be disqualified.
6. Any participant who sets a fire along the course or in forbidden areas in Camps 1 and 2 shall be disqualified.

I. MANDATORY ITEMS:

These items must be carried along the three stages of the race either wearing them or in the backpack (both options are accepted).

The first aid kit must have:
6 self-adhesive bandages (Moleskin, Compeed, band-aids)
2 rolls of elastic bandage: 1,50 m length x 10 cm width
2 rolls of NON-elastic bandage: 1,50 m length x 7,5 cm width
4 surgical dressing pads for deep wounds
3 individual packages of sterile gauze (10 x 10 cm) to cover wounds
1 roll of adhesive tape: 3 cm x 3 cm
60 ml of povidone iodine solution
6 pills of anti-diarrheal (loperamide)
6 pills of anti-histamine (loratadine)
100 ml of sunscreen F30
3 packets of rehydrating mineral salts
3 pills of ibuprofen 400 mg
1 pair of disposable latex gloves
1 pair of small scissors
1 pair of tweezers
Note: The first aid kit is designed for the 3 days of the race; therefore, its content should be rationed proportionally for each day.

J. RUNNER’S WAIVER

When registering, the participant accepts the Regulations and declares under oath that he/she does not suffer from any physical acquired or congenital disease, or from injuries that may result in disorders in health or life conditions, as a consequence of taking part in this competition. Furthermore, the participant declares under oath that before the competition, he/she has had a medical checkup done which states that he/she is in optimal health conditions to take part in this competition; in addition, the participant is responsible for all the risks related to participating in this competition (including falls, contact with other participants, weather consequences, vehicle traffic, road conditions and/or any other kind of risk that may arise.)
The participant understands and willingly accepts that TMX SRL, the sponsors and/or its directors and/or managers and/or partners and/or shareholders and/or contracted or related companies do NOT take any charge and are not responsible for any kind of compensation, claim, cost, harm and/or damage or responsibility claimed, including, but not limited to, damages due to accidents, material, physical or psychological damages and lost income, caused to the participant or his/her beneficiaries, as a result of and due to the physical activity in which he/she took part. After reading this statement and knowing these facts, the participant releases TMX SRL, the sponsors, its related companies and representatives, directors and shareholders from all and any claims or responsibilities whatsoever that may result from his/her participation in this competition, and from any loss, theft and/or robbery, fires, short circuits, health damages arising from third parties’ fights or quarrels, health damages arising or not from physical conditions, that may occur before or throughout the competition, or after it finishes.
The Organizing Team shall not refund the registration fee to the participants who decide not to take part in the competition after being registered, regardless of the reasons, except as stated in section A, point 5.
The participant authorizes the competition organizers and sponsors to use, reproduce, distribute and/or publish photographs, movies, videos, recordings and/or any other means of recording him/her, taken because of and in the context of the competition, without any pecuniary compensation whatsoever in favor of the participant of this competition. Minimum age to take part in El Origen 100k is 17 years old (becoming 17 no later than March 2, 2017); participants under 18 years old must submit an authorization with the CERTIFIED signature of his/her father, mother or legal guardian. Minimum age to take part in El Origen 50k is 15 years old (becoming 15 no later than March 2, 2017); participants under 18 years old must submit an authorization with the CERTIFIED signature of his/her father, mother or legal guardian.
